Matthew Boyd allowed two earned runs on six hits while striking out eight over six innings in Sunday’s loss to the Mets.

Boyd continues to impress, allowing no more than two earned runs in each of his last three starts and still hasn’t given up more than three in any outing this season. His consistency has been a bright spot, keeping his team competitive every time out. After today's performance, Boyd owns a 2.78 ERA and 1.30 WHIP with a 3-2 record through eight starts. He’s set to take the mound Saturday against the White Sox, which rank 27th in MLB with a .594 OPS versus left-handed pitching, a favorable matchup for the southpaw.
