Brandon Nimmo homers, reaches base three times

Brandon Nimmo reached base three times in the New York Mets' 6-2 victory over the Cubs on Sunday, going 2-for-3 with a hit-by-pitch. He hit a 381-foot, two-run home run off reliever Gavin Hollowell to extend New York's lead to 6-2. Nimmo scored one run and drove in two.

The 32-year-old outfielder is slashing .224/.288/.429 with 18 runs scored and 25 RBI through 163 plate appearances this season. Sunday's home run was his first since April 28; in the 10 games since that date, Nimmo has batted .206 (7-for-34) with one homer, four runs scored, and two RBI.
