Matt McLain Powers Reds Past White Sox with Strong Offensive Showing
by Chase Davis | Reds Correspondent | Fri, May 16th 8:09am EDT
Matt McLain went 2-for-3 in a win over the White Sox, driving in one run, hitting a home run, recording a double, and scoring two runs.
Fantasy Impact:
After today’s win, McLain's season stats now stand at a .182 batting average, six home runs, 16 RBI, and 22 runs scored across 36 games. His strikeout rate is above 30%, and weighing him down with a .203 xBA. While the tools are still there (90.3 mph avg EV, 93rd percentile in spring speed), he hasn't done much with it in his return from injury. Fantasy managers will want to hold McLain, in hopes of a return to form, but it's hard to trust him right now.
