Rafael Devers homers in final game with Red Sox

by Bruno Mulé | Giants Correspondent | Mon, Jun 16th 12:47pm EDT

In what was his final game with the Boston Red Sox, Rafael Devers went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Sunday's 2-0 win over the Yankees. Following the game, it was reported that Devers had been traded to the San Francisco Giants.

Fantasy Impact:

Through 73 games this season, the 28-year-old is batting .272 with 15 home runs, 58 RBI, 47 runs scored, and one stolen base over 272 at-bats. His 15 homers are one more than the Giants' entire team has received from left-handed bats this year. It is unclear if Devers will play third base for the Giants, a position occupied by Matt Chapman (hand) when he is healthy.
