Slade Cecconi allows two runs, earns second win

Slade Cecconi (2-3) picked up his second win of the season Tuesday against the Giants, allowing two runs on four hits and three walks over five innings. The Cleveland Guardians right-hander struck out six. Cecconi was supported by a go-ahead solo home run from Gabriel Arias in the sixth inning.

Cecconi has now completed five innings in each of his three starts in June, allowing a total of five runs with a 17:6 K:BB across those 15 innings. Through six starts this season (30.1 IP), he has a 4.15 ERA, 1.35 WHIP, and a 34:11 K:BB ratio. His next start is projected for this weekend on the road versus the Athletics.
