Robbie Ray (8-2) was tagged with the loss Tuesday against the Guardians despite pitching a quality start. Over six innings, he allowed three runs on five hits and two walks while striking out five. The deciding run came on a solo home run by Gabriel Arias in the sixth inning.
Fantasy Impact:
The quality start was a return to form for Ray after a four-inning effort in Colorado last week; prior to that, he had delivered eight straight quality starts between April 26 and June 5. Through 15 starts (87.1 innings), he holds a 2.68 ERA, 1.12 WHIP, and a 97:35 K:BB ratio. His next outing is projected at home versus the Red Sox this weekend.
