Matthew Liberatore earns win with quality start Tuesday

by Bruno Mulé | Cardinals Correspondent | Wed, Jun 18th 12:23pm EDT

Matthew Liberatore (4-6) secured his first win since May 6 on Tuesday against the White Sox, delivering his first quality start since May 24. The left-hander pitched six innings, allowing two runs on five hits and no walks while striking out four.

Fantasy Impact:

The outing continued a stretch of excellent control for Liberatore, who has walked just five batters over his last 38.1 innings. However, his strikeout rate has dipped to 6.6 K/9 during that same span, down from an 8.3 K/9 rate over his first seven starts of the year. His next start is scheduled at home against the Reds this weekend.
