Shane Smith (3-4) was tagged with the loss Tuesday against the Cardinals after allowing six runs (five earned) on six hits and three walks over 4.1 innings. The Chicago White Sox rookie recorded a season-low two strikeouts in the outing. Despite the high run total, Smith allowed only one extra-base hit.

Fantasy Impact:

It was the first time this season that Smith has allowed more than three earned runs in a start. He has now issued multiple walks in five consecutive starts. His next outing is scheduled for this weekend in a road start versus the Blue Jays.
