Emmanuel Clase recorded his 15th save of the season Tuesday against the Giants, but not without some drama. He loaded the bases with one out in the ninth inning before inducing a shallow flyout from Dominic Smith and striking out Casey Schmitt to end the 3-2 win. Clase allowed two hits and a walk while striking out one in the scoreless frame.
Fantasy Impact:
Tuesday's outing followed a blown save Saturday in Seattle, and Clase has now allowed multiple baserunners in five of his seven appearances in June. Through 30.2 innings this season, he holds a 3.82 ERA and 1.50 WHIP with a 33:9 K:BB ratio, converting 15 of his 18 save opportunities.
