Ryan Helsley threw a scoreless ninth inning to save a 5-4 win over the White Sox in the first game of a Thursday doubleheader. Helsley did not allow a baserunner while picking up one strikeout in the frame.
Fantasy Impact:
Helsley needed just 10 pitches to send the White Sox down in order on the way to earning his 14th save in 19 chances. He continues to have a firm grip on the closer role in St. Louis despite a 3.81 ERA and five blown saves on the season.
