Jo Adell hits go-ahead homer Thursday

Jo Adell went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in the Los Angeles Angels' 7-3 loss to the Yankees on Thursday. His opposite-field blast off Carlos Rodon in the second inning gave the Angels a temporary 2-1 lead and was his 15th homer of the year.

The 26-year-old outfielder has now homered in back-to-back games, a power surge that followed an 0-for-10 stretch over his prior three contests. Through 230 plate appearances this season, Adell is slashing .221/.293/.471 with 15 home runs, 37 RBI, 25 runs scored, and three stolen bases.
