Brandon Walter allowed five earned runs on eight hits while striking out three over five innings in Thursday's loss to the Rockies.

After today’s performance, Walter now has a 4.15 ERA and 1.13 WHIP with one win and one loss across six starts this season. Despite another start with at least five runs given up, he has yet to get pulled with less than five innings pitched. His xERA is a full run better than his actual ERA, thanks to an impressive 1.4% walk rate and 86.2 mph EV. He'll look to get back on track next time out, facing Cleveland for the second time since the beginning of June.
