Casey Mize headed to All-Star Game

by Brenton Kemp | Tigers Correspondent | Fri, Jul 11th 2:10pm EDT

Detroit Tigers right-hander Casey Mize has been named an AL All-Star, replacing Red Sox left-hander Garrett Crochet on the American League's active roster. (MLB on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

It's been a nice comeback story for Mize in 2025. The 2018 first overall pick has struggled to consistently find his footing in the big leagues before missing the entire 2023 season due to Tommy John surgery and fighting a hamstring for much of 2024. This season, however, Mize is 9-2 with a 2.63 ERA across 15 starts for the Tigers. This is the righty's first All-Star appearance.
