Logan Gilbert allowed four earned runs on three hits and three walks while striking out seven over five innings in Sunday's loss to the Angels.

While allowing four earned runs is not ideal, Gilbert was able to rack up seven strikeouts, continuing his recent trend of high strikeout totals. He’s recorded seven or more strikeouts in five of his last six starts. Following yesterday’s performance, Gilbert holds a 3.48 ERA and 1.01 WHIP with a 3–4 record across 14 starts this season. He is scheduled to make his next start Friday against the Rangers.
