Louis Varland to be used in one-inning role with Blue Jays

Newly acquired reliever Louis Varland will be used as a one-inning arm out of the back end of the Blue Jays' bullpen, according to manager John Schneider. (Ben Nicholson-Smith on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
The news isn't unexpected as only four of Varland's 51 appearances with the Twins went longer than one inning. Prior to being acquired by Toronto prior to Thursday's trade deadline, the 27-year-old pitched to a tidy 2.02 ERA in 49 innings with Minnesota.
