Ritter's recovery from a lacerated right middle finger continues, having been on the injured list since July 20. He has begun taking grounders but is still in pain when removing the ball from his glove. He will need to be able to do this without discomfort before he can progress to throwing and hitting. A timeline for his return remains unknown.
