Giants right-hander Justin Verlander was roughed up and handed the loss in a forgettable outing Sunday against the Nationals.
Fantasy Impact:
Verlander was knocked around in this one, allowing five earned runs on 11 hits and a walk while striking out six. Verlander had righted the ship with just one earned run allowed over 15 innings and three starts entering Sunday's game but his ERA now sits at 4.53 across 20 starts on the season, somewhat amazingly with just one win in that time.
