Shane Baz allowed five runs (four earned) on six hits and two walks while striking out seven over seven innings in Tuesday's loss to the Athletics.
Fantasy Impact:
After today’s performance, Baz holds a 4.93 ERA and 1.33 WHIP with an 8-9 record across 24 starts this season. He has continued to rack up strikeouts, but at the cost of high ratios for fantasy managers. Over his five starts since the All-Star break, Baz has struck out 33 batters in 25 innings, but he has also struggled to an 8.28 ERA and 1.68 WHIP. He is next scheduled to take the mound Tuesday against the Yankees.
