Matthew Boyd allowed two earned runs on just two hits and one walk while striking out five over seven innings in Thursday's loss to the Blue Jays.

Boyd has been in great form since giving up five earned runs in his outing against the Brewers on July 28. In his last three starts, he has allowed just three earned runs and struck out 16 batters. Following the performance yesterday, his season stats stand at a 2.46 ERA and 1.02 WHIP with an 11-6 record over 24 starts. He is scheduled to take the mound again on Tuesday against the Brewers.
