Michael Lorenzen struggles in short outing against Rangers
by Chase Davis | Rockies Correspondent | Fri, Aug 22nd 9:15am EDT
Michael Lorenzen allowed three earned runs on nine hits and one walk while striking out six over 4.1 innings in Thursday's win against the Rangers.
Fantasy Impact:
After today’s performance, Lorenzen now has a 4.50 ERA and 1.34 WHIP to go with a 5-8 record across 20 starts this season. Lorenzen pitched a seven-inning gem in July and was placed on the IL a few days later. In two outings since returning, he's given up three earned runs on 12 hits, three walks, and nine strikeouts in 8.1 innings. Fantasy managers can't trust someone going more than four innings, but he gets a favorable matchup, the White Sox, next week.
