The Padres signed RHP Jason Adam to a one-year, $6.675 million deal to avoid arbitration.
Fantasy Impact:
Adam is coming off a strong season in his first full year in San Diego, posting a 1.93 ERA and 70 strikeouts across 65 1/3 innings. His season ended early due to a ruptured quad tendon. He figures to enter next season in a set-up role behind Mason Miller.
