George Soriano has been claimed off of waivers by the Atlanta Braves after he was designated for assignment by the Orioles earlier in the week. Atlanta DFA'd Brett Wisely in a corresponding move. (Atlanta Braves on X)
Fantasy Impact:
Soriano has pitched parts of three seasons at the major league level, all with Miami. The righthander has a 5.95 ERA in 118 innings with 117 strikeouts. His minor league numbers are far more intriguing with a 3.40 ERA and 510 strikeouts in 490 innings. The Braves will have a decision to make as Soriano is out of minor league options.
