Osvaldo Bido claimed off waivers by Marlins

Osvaldo Bido has been claimed off of waivers by the Miami Marlins. The righthander was designated for assignment by the Rays last week. (Marc Topkin on X)
Fantasy Impact:
Bido has some major league experience, appearing in 58 games over the past three seasons with the Pirates and Athletics. The righthander has a 5.07 ERA and a 1.41 WHIP in 192.1 career innings at the major league level. The Marlins have traded Edward Cabrera and Ryan Weathers from their rotation in the past couple of weeks, and Bido has made 28 starts at the big league level. However, he needs a great spring and would have to improve his numbers in order to get a crack at a spot in the Miami rotation. More than likely, he'll begin the year in Triple-A Jacksonville.
