Fantasy Impact:
Hamel was claimed by the Yankees from the Texas Rangers in late January but will go through waivers again after the team designated him for assignment following the claim of Yanquiel Fernandez from the Colorado Rockies. Last season with Triple-A Syracuse, Hamel posted a 5.32 ERA and 1.33 WHIP across 67.2 innings.
