Jonah Heim has signed a one-year deal with the Atlanta Braves. The contract is reportedly worth $1.25 million. (Jon Heyman on X)
Fantasy Impact:
Heim is coming off of a disappointing 2025 season that saw him bat .213 with 11 home runs and 43 RBI in 433 plate appearances with the Rangers. He also threw out just 15.7% of would-be base stealers last season. An All-Star in 2023, Heim is a career .225 hitter with 68 home runs in 2,200 plate appearances across parts of six major league seasons. It's a solid signing for the Braves who needed another catcher with Sean Murphy opening the season on the injured list. Reigning NL Rookie of the Year, Drake Baldwin, should see a majority of the starts behind the plate.
