Helcris Olivarez reassigned to minor league camp

Lefthander Helcris Olivarez has been reassigned to minor league camp by the Kansas City Royals. (Kansas City Royals on X)
Fantasy Impact:
Olivarez posted an 8.53 ERA in seven games with the Royals this spring. The lefthander has pitched in seven minor league seasons with the Rockies and Giants and has a 4.18 ERA in 325 career innings. The odd fact with Olivarez is that he has actually walked more batters (238) than he has allowed hits (237) over his minor league career. Over the last two seasons, Olivarez has allowed 34 hits but has walked 96 batters in just 75 innings. Long story short, command is a major issue. He'll get work at Omaha to see if he can work things out.
