Daniel Susac wins backup catcher role

Fantasy Impact:
Susac won the backup job over veteran Eric Haase, who the club released on Wednesday. Susac, 24, has yet to make his MLB debut and hit .275 with 18 homers, seven stolen bases, and an .832 OPS in 97 games with Triple-A Vegas in 2025, although his resulting 94 wRC+ suggests his bat was still below the league average in the extremely hitter-friendly Pacific Coast League.
