Mickey Moniak has monster effort Thursday in loss to Padres
by David Leisering | Rockies Correspondent | Fri, Apr 24th 10:18am EDT
Mickey Moniak went 4-for-5 with a pair of solo home runs and also scored three times on Thursday. However, it wasn't enough as the Padres came-from-behind to defeat the Rockies, 10-8.
Fantasy Impact:
Moniak started his day with a home run off of Matt Waldron in the first and then hit his second homer of the day off of Adrian Morejon in the sixth. He also added a pair of singles for his first four-hit game since September 14 of last season. Moniak is developing into a premier power hitter as he ranks tied for second in the National League with eight home runs. Moniak is currently on an eight-game hitting streak and is batting .419 (13-for-31) with eight runs scored, three home runs, and six RBI over the stretch. He has three multi-homer games this season and has his season average up to .324 (22-for-68) with a ridiculous .750 slugging percentage through 19 games.
