Carlos Rodon (elbow) activated from IL for season debut Sunday
by David Leisering | Yankees Correspondent | Sun, May 10th 10:04am EDT
Carlos Rodon (elbow) has been activated from the injured list and will make his season debut on Sunday against the Brewers. Righthander Kervin Castro was optioned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre in a corresponding move. (New York Yankees on X)
Fantasy Impact:
Rodon, who won 18 games with 203 strikeouts for the Yankees last season, started the year on the injured list as he recovered from offseason elbow surgery. The veteran lefthander made three rehab appearances, pitching to a 3.38 ERA and a 16:3 K:BB ratio in 16 innings. In his last outing, he threw 83 pitches in 6.1 innings for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, so any workload restrictions should be relatively minimal on Sunday against the Brewers.
