Tomoyuki Sugano allows three homers Sunday in loss to Phillies

by David Leisering | Rockies Correspondent | Sun, May 10th 10:26pm EDT

Tomoyuki Sugano was tagged for five runs on seven hits in five innings on Sunday as the Rockies were blanked by the Phillies, 6-0.

Fantasy Impact:

Sugano served up three home runs in the first two innings as Kyle Schwarber and Bryce Harper went back-to-back in the first and then Schwarber got him again in the second. He allowed all five runs in the first two innings, then gave up just two singles over his final three frames as he did a good job of settling in and preserving the bullpen for as long as he could. Sugano has pitched to a 7.84 ERA in two starts this month, allowing nine runs on ten hits with a 3:3 K:BB ratio in 10.1 innings. Overall, he is 3-3 with a 4.07 ERA in eight starts this season and is scheduled to take on Arizona in his next start on Saturday.
