Lauer, who was designated for assignment by the Blue Jays on Monday, will join a Dodgers' rotation that just lost lefty Blake Snell to an elbow injury. Lauer has a 6.69 ERA in 36 1/3 innings this year, but put up a 3.18 ERA across 104 2/3 frames last season.
