Andrew Baker has been traded from the Philadelphia Phillies to the Colorado Rockies. The Phillies are receiving international bonus pool space in return. (Philadelphia Phillies on X)
Fantasy Impact:
Baker was drafted by the Phillies in the 11th round of the 2021 MLB Draft. He has appeared in 14 games at Double-A Reading this season and has gone 0-1 with a 2.65 ERA and a 25:5 K:BB ratio in 17 innings. The righthander has strikeout stuff as evidenced by his 324 punchouts in 228.1 career minor league innings. However, command issues have been a problem in the past as he has allowed 153 walks and 44 wild pitches over that same span. He will likely report to Double-A Hartford in the Rockies' organization.
