The Rays have signed reliever Craig Kimbrel to a major league deal.

Kimbrel became a free agent when he refused a minor league assignment with the Mets on Monday, and he lands with the AL-leading Rays just one day later. The veteran struggled in his 14 appearances with the Mets, posting a 6.00 ERA in 15 innings of work. However, his 4.03 xFIP and 3.72 SIERA suggest he could have some positive regression on the horizon.
