Trey Yesavage wild in no-decision Saturday versus Orioles

by Brenton Kemp | Blue Jays Correspondent | Sun, May 31st 11:09am EDT

Blue Jays right-hander Trey Yesavage allowed one earned run across five innings, but walked seven in a no-decision Saturday against the Orioles.

Fantasy Impact:

Yesavage allowed just two hits in the outing, but his seven walks raised his pitch count to 92 in just five innings of work. That said, he was actually in line for a win before Jeff Hoffman allowed five earned runs in the bottom of the ninth inning as the Orioles stunned the Blue Jays with a walk-off 6-5 victory. The 22-year-old has been rock-solid with a 2.19 ERA through seven starts this season, but his 4.10 xFIP and 4.00 SIERA suggest he has been fortunate to prevent runs at his current clip. He next lines up for a rematch against the Orioles, only this time in Toronto on Friday.
