Cal Quantrill allowed one earned run on two hits and one walk while striking out seven over 5 1/3 innings in Tuesday’s win over the Rays.

Quantrill continues a strong stretch on the mound of late, allowing two earned runs or less in seven of his last eight contests. The right-hander offers manager Skip Schumaker another mostly stable option as part of an inconsistent Rangers rotation, posting a 3.84 ERA and 1.24 WHIP to go with a 4-3 record and 2.2 K/BB ratio across 22 appearances.
