Jake Bennett allowed four earned runs on five hits and one walk while striking out six over four innings in Friday’s loss to the Pirates.
Fantasy Impact:
Bennett has fallen back to earth of late, allowing three earned runs or more in each of his last five trips to the mound. The left-hander remains one of the more inconsistent arms in the Red Sox rotation for manager Chad Tracy currently, carrying a 3.46 ERA and 1.07 WHIP with a 7-6 record and .608 OPS allowed across 14 starts.
