Jake McGee set to make Rockies debut on Wednesday
by Grant Evje | Tue, Mar 8th 7:45pm EST
Jake McGee was an offseason relief pitching acquisition for the Rockies, acquired in the trade that sent Corey Dickerson to the Rays.
Fantasy Impact:
McGee was slated to be the Rays closer in 2015, but started the season on the DL, allowing Brad Boxberger to take over the closing job. McGee has an electric arm, and the best chance of taking over closing duties for the Rockies. After registering 48 strikeouts, a 2.41 ERA, and 0.94 WHIP over 37 1/3 innings pitched in 2015, he deserves serious consideration from fantasy owners as a cheap source of saves.
