Jared Hoying becomes a free agent

The Texas Rangers have parted ways with reserve outfielder Jared Hoying. Hoying, a 10th-round pick by the Rangers in the 2010 Draft out of the University of Toledo, finally reached the Major Leagues this past season. He played in 39 games and hit .219. (www.mlb.com)
Fantasy Impact:
The Rangers tendered contracts right before the deadline Friday to seven players, but Hoying was not one of them. He will now be able to negotiate with any team.
