Casey Kelly might step in to fill Blair's spot on Wednesday against Danny Salazar and the Indians. Blair should be fine after he tweaks some things in the minors.

Blair lasted just 4 1/3 innings as he allowed seven hits and eight runs (all earned) while walking three and striking out two. 48 of his 72 pitches were strikes but his in-zone location was off tonight. The loss puts Blair's record at 0-5 on the year while the Braves stand at 25-48. He will face Danny Salazar and the Indians next Wednesday in Atlanta.

All young pitchers struggle from time to time with location, especially in-zone location. Nothing too surprising here. Blair is progressing and hopefully, he works through this quickly but it's doubtful he holds much fantasy value for most owners.

Blair went for six good innings, allowing five hits and three runs (all earned) while walking one and striking out four. Saturday night proved to be a vast improvement for Blair and was his best outing of the year. The Braves have now won four straight games, improving their dismal record to 22-46. The team is 13-18 under new coach Brian Snitker which is a tremendous upgrade from the 9-28 record under ex-coach Fredi Gonzalez.

Fantasy Impact

Blair has good upside as do all or most of the Braves young pitchers but it's a little early to think of his fantasy value. Long-term he appears solid but this year will come with struggles.

It was a rough stay in the majors for Blair, who posted an ugly 7.59 ERA and 1.88 WHIP over five starts, issuing more walks (12) than strikeouts (8). He could hold value in the future considering his top prospect status, but he clearly needs more time in the minors to develop based on the early showings.

Blair lasted just 3 2/3 innings, allowing six hits and four runs while walking two and recording two strikeouts. On the year, he has a paltry 3.15 K/9, a 4.95 BB/9, along with a 4.68 FIP over 20 innings pitched.

Fantasy Impact

He'll face the Pirates next on Tuesday in Pittsburgh. Blair has no fantasy value in any format at this time.
