Toro was a participant for Team Canada at the 2023 World Baseball Classic, hitting .333 with an .812 OPS across 15 at-bats. The 26-year-old struggled in the 2022 season, however, as he hit just .185 with 10 homers and a .563 OPS across 109 games with the Seattle Mariners. Toro's bat has graded out 25% below league average according to his career 75 wRC+ across 262 games played.
Abraham Toro was traded to the Milwaukee Brewers along with Jesse Winker in exchange for Kolten Wong.
Toro accumulated just 352 plate appearances with the Mariners last year, splitting time between second and third base. Toro managed just a .185/.239/.324 with ten home runs. His role is uncertain with the Brewers but he could be a player to monitor moving forward.
