Amos Willingham

Amos Willingham has agreed to a minor league deal with the Houston Astros. The contract includes a non-roster invite to Spring Training.

Willingham has pitched in 25.1 innings at the major league level, toeing the rubber for the Nationals in 2023 and 2024. The righthander has a 7.11 career ERA in the bigs, but has a much more respectable 4.00 ERA in six minor league seasons. Last year, he pitched in the Braves' organization and combined to go 2-2 with a 5.17 ERA in 55.2 innings across four levels. Willingham does have a minor league option left, so he is likely ticketed for Double-A Corpus Christi or Triple-A Sugar Land to start the season.
