Rangers third baseman Anderson Tejeda notched his first hit of the season when he singled on Saturday. He stole second base and then scored on a double by Isiah Kiner-Falefa. Tejeda also walked later in the contest.
Tejeda hit out of the ninth spot on Saturday and logged his first hit since 2020 when he slashed .253/.273/.453 with eight extra-base hits, eight RBI, a 2.6 percent walk rate, and a 39 percent strikeout rate.
Batting second and playing third base, Anderson Tejeda went 0-for-3 with three strikeouts on Friday. The outing represented his season debut.
To be fair, nothing was going right for the Texas batters as they were held completely hitless by Padres starter Joe Musgrove. Still, Tejeda was the only Ranger with multiple strikeouts, and he had a whole trio of them.
