RHP Andre Jackson struck out five and walked four over four scoreless innings of relief in the Dodgers' 2-1 win over the Pirates on Monday.
Jackson was making his major league debut on Monday, working as a bulk reliever after Justin Bruihl served as the opener. He limited the Pirates to just two hits and whiffed five over his four innings of work but struggled with his command, issuing four walks. There is definite upside here but it remains to be seen what his role will be moving forward. He should remain with the team for now but it's unclear when he'll get his next opportunity as a long reliever.
