Infielder Andrew Young went 1-for-1 with a pinch-hit two-run homer in the D-Backs' 7-3 win over the Cubs on Saturday.
Young tacked on a pair of insurnace runs in the top of the ninth inning when he smacked a two-run, pinch-hit homer off of Rex Brothers to put Arizona up 7-2. The seldom-used infielder has 11 hits on the season and six of them have left the yard. He's got a .998 OPS over 49 at-bats. He could see a bump in playing time post-trade deadline, depending on what moves the D-Backs make.
Infielder Andrew Young went 1-for-1with a solo home run in the D-Backs 3-2 loss to the Marlins on Wednesday.
Young stepped up to the plate as a pinch-hitter in the bottom of the fifth inning and hit a solo homer off of Cody Poteet. It was Young's fourth home run and 10th RBI of the season. He's racked up all of those counting stats in just 10 at-bats.
Andy Young went 1-for-2 with a grand slam in the Diamondbacks 11-6 win over the Nationals on Thursday.
Young uncorked the first grand slam in his career off Patrick Corbin in the second inning, which punctuated a 10-run explosion by the D-Backs in the first two frames. Young, who was just recalled to the big league club a few days ago, should get some extended run with the team while Ketel Marte is on the shelf. He's worth keeping eyes on but he's more of a deep, NL-only option.
Andy Young went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in Sunday's loss to San Diego.
With the game out of reach, Young delivered his first big-league homer with a two-run shot in the ninth inning. He is 3-for-8 to start his MLB career.
Andy Young is being promoted to the Diamondbacks Major League roster.
The second base prospect will likely serve as depth, initially, until a clear path to playing time emerges. But that could happen sooner than later with the D-Backs offense struggling to put up runs. In 2019, between Double and Triple-A, Young put up .271/.368/.535 batting line with 29 home runs and 81 RBI across 540 plate appearances.
