Angels backup catcher Anthony Bemboom went 2-for-4 with a solo home run on Wednesday, his third homer of the season.
Bemboom connected for one of three Angels home runs in the second inning off of Padres reliever Adrian Morejon, who had taken over for an injured Mike Clevinger. Bemboom was filling in today for primary catcher Max Stassi who received a simple day off. Bemboom can be ignored in fantasy leagues.
Angels catcher Anthony Bemboom hit his second home run of the season on Friday night, connecting for a go-ahead home run in the top of the ninth inning off of Rockies closer Daniel Bard to give his team a temporary 4-3 lead. The Angels would eventually lose on a walk-off grand slam in the bottom of the inning. Bemboom was hitless in three other at-bats.
Despite tonight's temporary heroics, Bemboom sports a pedestrian .194 AVG and .730 OPS and does not offer any fantasy value.
Anthony Bemboom went 1-2 for with two-run home run and a walk in Thursday's 10-5 loss to the Giants.
Max Stassi got the start with the lefty Jose Suarez on the mound, but he was pulled in the second inning and Bemboom took over. This home run was his first hit of the season and he's 1-for-3 with one walk over his two game appearances this year.
Anthony Bemboom went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 9-2 win over the White Sox.
Bemboom's shot in the eighth off White Sox reliever Ross Detwiler was his first career home run in the majors. He hit 34 long balls in parts of eight seasons in the minors before making his MLB debut earlier this year.
