The Red Sox have placed infielder Anthony Seigler on the 10-day injured list with a left knee patellar tendinopathy.

Seigler was unable to get into any spring games for the Red Sox after making his MLB debut for the Brewers last season. The 26-year-old struggled to a .194 average without a homer in that time, but has a monster season at Triple-A where he hit .285 with eight homers, 23 stolen bases, and an .892 OPS across 72 games.
Seigler was acquired from Milwaukee in a trade this offseason. Manager Alex Cora said Tuesday that Seigler is nursing a knee injury initially suffered during the Dominican Winter League.

Seigler felt fine at the start of camp, but the knee is now bothering him again. He is competing for a reserve role with Boston.
