Artie Lewicki gives up three runs to White Sox

Artie Lewicki was charged with three runs on six hits and three walks against the White Sox on Monday. Over 4 2/3 innings, he struck out three batters and was left with a no-decision.

Fantasy Impact

Lewicki should remain in the Detroit rotation now that Mike Fiers is in Oakland. With a 4.89 ERA and a 1.60 WHIP, he has no fantasy appeal.

Artie Lewicki takes loss in big league debut

Making his major league debut, Artie Lewicki (0-1) surrendered five runs on 11 hits over five innings to take the loss as the Tigers fell 7-6 to the Royals on Sunday. Lewicki struck out and walked one apiece in the 85-pitch effort.

Fantasy Impact

Lewicki pitched well in Double-A and Triple-A this season which allowed him to get the promotion to the Tigers when rosters expanded. His first big league start didn't go as well but he will likely stay in the rotation for a few starts over the remainder of the season. Lewicki's next start is scheduled for next Sunday in Toronto. He is best left on the waiver wire.
