Pruitt was placed on the injured list right before the season. With such a short season it's currently up in the air whether or not then 30-year-old will contribute at all in 2020.

Astros manager Dusty Baker said Tuesday that Pruitt was "ailing" and now we know why. An MRI on his elbow showed no structural damage but he's certainly behind other pitchers right now. Josh James and Framber Valdez appear to have the inside track to rotation spots in Houston.
