Bailey Ober grinds out win despite low K total

Bailey Ober allowed two earned runs on five hits and one walk while striking out two over 5.2 innings in Wednesday's 8-6 win over the Tigers.

Fantasy Impact

The low strikeout total left a bit to be desired but fantasy gamers will be happy to see Ober pick up his first win of the season. After the victory, Ober now has a 5.27 ERA and 1.24 WHIP with a 1-0 record and seven strikeouts through three starts.

Bailey Ober labors early but Twins' bats bail him out

Bailey Ober allowed three earned runs on four hits and two walks while striking out four over four innings in Friday's 10-4 win over the Rays.

Fantasy Impact

Ober didn't have his sharpest command, but Minnesota's offense made sure it didn't matter. After the outing, Ober now owns a 6.75 ERA and 1.38 WHIP with a 0-0 record and five strikeouts through two starts. His next start is scheduled for Wednesday against the Tigers.

Bailey Ober labors through four in rough season debut

Bailey Ober allowed three earned runs on four hits and one walk while striking out one over four innings in Sunday's loss 8-6 to the Orioles.

Fantasy Impact

Ober didn't do much to help fantasy managers as he managed just one strikeout in his disappointing season debut. After Sunday's outing, Ober now has a 6.75 ERA and 1.25 WHIP with a 0-0 record. He will look to bounce back in his next start, which will be against the Rays on Saturday.

Bailey Ober avoids arbitration with Twins

Bailey Ober avoided arbitration with the Minnesota Twins, agreeing to a $5.2 million contract for the 2026 season.

Fantasy Impact

Ober had a down year in 2025, going 6-9 with a 5.10 ERA in 27 starts with the Twins. The righthander also missed a month of the season with a hip impingement. Ober has been mostly successful in his major league career, posting a 4.08 ERA in 115 starts - all with the Twins. The righthander struck out a career-high 191 batters in 2024 and is a strong candidate for a bounce-back season in 2026.

Bailey Ober Shines in Dominant Performance Against Rangers

Bailey Ober allowed no earned runs on just two hits and one walk while striking out five over six innings in Thursday's victory against the Rangers.

Fantasy Impact

After today’s win, Ober has a 5.10 ERA and 1.30 WHIP with a 6-9 record across 27 starts this season. Astonishingly enough, this was the first outing all season he did not allow a single run. This was by far Ober's worst season in the bigs after being plenty productive the previous two seasons. His strikeout rate fell considerably (~8%), and his fastball velocity was down 1.5 mph compared to last year. He dealt with some injuries, so maybe that is to blame. Either way, Ober will be an interesting pitcher to rank in 2026.
