Bo Davidson has been reassigned to minor league camp by the San Francisco Giants.
Fantasy Impact
Ranked #87 among the top 100 prospects according to Baseball America, Davidson went 3-for-14 with the Giants this spring. The 23-year-old outfielder combined to hit .281 with 18 home runs and 19 stolen bases in 114 games between High-A Eugene and Double-A Richmond. Davidson possesses a speed and power combo that projects to 20-20 potential in the majors. However, since he only has 187 at bats at Double-A, he will continue to develop in the minors this season and, with a good year, could be a name to watch in San Francisco as early as 2027.
The Giants fired manager Bob Melvin on Monday.
Fantasy Impact
It was a rough end to the season for the Giants after they had picked up Melvin’s option for 2026 back on July 1st. They went 36-41 to close the season, getting eliminated from playoff contention in the last week of the regular season. Melvin spent the past two years as the Giants manager. It is unclear who the Giants will look to next.
